Learning to Ski in a day – is that possible at all ?

Yes, even if it sounds impossible - with the training path Ski in a day of Gundi Thoma and thanks to the Carveski it is no problem anymore at all to learn to ski fast and securely!

Inspired by the slim, short Carveski Gundi Thoma has developed leanring methods, which make it possible, to handle a parallel swing after about four instruction lessons without falling down on flat hills. Based on extenseively getting to know the unfamiliar materials (ski, boots, sticks) and the thus diminishing respect of the 'new' there'll be exercises in th eplain with socalled “Shorties” (Kurzcarveski) and then to simulate the relevant movements of skiing standing still. And off you go - in very plain terrain what was 'simulated' is now being realised on a gliding slope. Depending on individual progress and ability the terrain is then changed.

In the second half of the day we'll practice going with the lift and change to somewhat longer skis. This is from experience usually the crux of the day. By practising and exercising a lot (skiing) this critical phase will be overcome in order to then do rhythm exercises to consolidate the skking without falling over.

An the end we socialise at Apresski and of course there'll be lots of talking and philosophizing about the Carving fro a long time. now you are in the midst of the skiing community.
